MISSION

Affinity Vision is a registered UK charity that supports third sector organisations in the UK and The Gambia to help make them sustainable and self-sufficient.

Our Founder

Founded by Chris Bialan, Affinity Vision is a support network of people, tools and resources for third sector members to access.

In 2015, Chris started sponsoring five pupils at the Jofi School in The Gambia. Chris was so taken with the fantastic work at Jofi School that he linked his care home company in the UK, Affinity Care Group, to the school. Each of the six care homes in the Affinity Care Group sponsored six children, 36 in total. Through Chris’ relationship with Jofi School, he met what he’s come to call his ‘family’ in The Gambia.

Saving the Bees

In 2019, Chris came up with the idea for Bee Mission after spending hours in a van with Serge, an employee at Affinity Care Group, who told him all about his pastime as a beekeeper.

As an owner of five care homes across the country, Chris thought the homes’ grounds and gardens would be a great place to start installing the hives, and the Bee Mission pilot scheme launched in 2020.

Our Projects

Sustainable Communities

Affinity Vision is a group of experts that can help and assist these organisations and ultimately, do ourselves out of a job. We don’t take a single penny of anyone’s donations, Affinity Vision is entirely funded by Chris. Affinity Vision’s aim is to build sustainable communities and to help all the members become as self-sufficient as possible without the need for us at all. Chris’ mission is for everyone to ‘have the power’.
